GE is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation.The Area Sales Manager (m/f) will oversee and direct all outside Sales activities in Central / North Germany driving all the business growth opportunities for Masoneilan and Consolidated products including control valves, safety valves and pressure relief valves in Central / North Germany. The position requires a highly motivated, driven Sales person whose top priorities will be market penetration driving business opportunities, profitable growth procuring enquiries for profitable orders.

Essential Responsibilities
They are a proactive and strategic thinker whose attitudes significantly contribute to achieve sales plan.
Work with all the selling team to develop strategies for market penetration regionally and locally;
Manage the selling activities using products knowledge, services support and technology.
Develops strategic account plans.
Establish budgets, long-range objectives and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success
Develop accurate and reliable sales forecast;
Works with the Sales and Finance departments to develop and administer the company’s sales forecast.
Maintain relationships with field sales and service personnel to ensure timely, accurate, and prompt forecast submissions.
Develop performances metrics to be monitored on quickly monthly basis;
Evaluates alternative financial modeling approaches and oversees or performs statistical studies for the Sales departments.
Sell NGS Transmission products and services to local customers, directly or through distributors.
Cultivates and maintains direct and close relationships with established customers to increase existing business and ensure excellent client relations.
Always schedules visits to potential new customers to significantly develop the business
Works with the Legal department to negotiate commercial terms and conditions;
Act as a champion of compliance policy;
Understand the customer and country dynamics through direct interactions.
Develops and lead a growth strategy, including an execution and customer service plan in the territoris;
Visit customers regularly, conduct site surveys, generate new leads/opportunities, and lead preparation of proposals, secure quotations to customer and work through the commercial process until order closure

Qualifications/Requirements
Communication & Negotiation Skills
Solid experience of selling activities;
Previous selling experience in a multinational process control company dealing with the Oil & Gas / Power Generation industries.
General technical understanding of the Masoneilan and Consolidated, including control valves, safety valves
Solid power and oil & gas industries business knowledge,
Great ability to negotiate and strong commercial and business acumen and understanding.
Ability to develop and grow relationships & sponsorship
Demonstrated team player spirit and open minded;
Available to travel
Proven ability to build and lead a team in a developing market
Truly committed with high energy and passionate
Able to organize and manage multiple priorities
Customer focused and results driven with strong interpersonal / relationship skills.
Fluent in English and German languages
