As a team we place great importance on using idiomatic language and conveying a clear message tailored to the target audience. Our work goes beyond just translating and interpreting, though, and depending on your interests and professional background, you can also get involved in a whole host of other language-related projects and tasks. This position is initially fixed term for a period of 18 months.
Your Job
What this role looks like.
- Translating business documents from German into English and English into German
- Proofreading and post-editing documents in English and German from various areas, such as IT, buying, logistics, finance, law
- Helping to maintain our internal terminology database
- Developing corporate language and terminology concepts for the company
- Supporting the further development of our internal processes and language service portfolio
- Keeping up to date with language and technology trends and best practices to improve the company's communication strategy
Your Profile
What you bring with you.
- University degree in translation/interpreting/foreign languages or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in translation in a similar area
- English C2 level and fluent level of German
- Experience using translation memory systems
- Committed and sociable team player with excellent communication skills
- Enthusiam and interest in new technologies, including GenAI
- Reliable, independent and autonomous work approach
