A typical day of work: checking email and daily meetings, attend review board meeting for the assessment of incoming projects, prepare for meetings for ongoing projects, work off personal checklist for ongoing projects, follow up with cross functional team members by phone, emails on their personal action items.
What I learnt: insight into the entire product life cycle, manufacturing practices and their multiple interfaces; on a personal level: time and self management, coping with fast changing priorities, interpersonal communication
The management is goal orientated and milestones driven, unfortunately sometimes despite available resources.
Very good work environment with co-workers, team/family like spirit.
The hardest part was the job: tight timelines with often changing priorities
The most enjoyable part of the job: constantly learning due to the variety of projects, interface with numerous department gaining insight into their functions and interacting a diversity of colleagues.
