Schlechte Bezahlung für viel Arbeit
Deloitte is a great place to start a career, not necessarily a destination. Lots to learn earlier on in your career to develop your problem solving skills. Meritocracy in that you get what you put in. However, a lot of times, it's who you know, rather than what you know, that determines your success. Year end evaluation are based on what Partners / Principals / Directors are willing to say of you, rather than your true skillsets. Opinions / chest pounding dominate. Burn out occur quite often. Need to work smart, not necessarily hard. Smart might mean "leveraging" others, which is just shifting responsibilities and affecting someone else's work life balance. Some people are ok with that, empathetic ones end up leaving or being the servant leaders and burning themselves out in order to shield others.
Great place to work-Learning opportunities, energy & fun, compensation, people & professionalism is what stands out. Great exposure. Great leaders. Great work culture
I did not like the culture at here. If you have the wrong accent or wrong nationality or wrong age, you will have a very difficult time working here.
some days no breaks, favoritism, cliches and groups that run departments into the ground.
Great learning experience for beginners to start their career. Work life balance is difficult for people with families. There is no working hours and you are expected to be working round the clock.
Learning, career growth
Long hours, no work life balance
It is a good place for freshers to start and get some stuff. But advancement is very tough as the number of people applying would be too high than the opportunity number. Also good for people who are planning for a retirement as Deloitte has some good plans and benefits. Personally my project management was not good but I wont say that it is same with all the management across Deloitte. Coming to Work life Balance it depends on the roles and commitments of your project. No transport facility for day shifts and only one way transport for night shifts which makes no sense.
Benefits and compensation.
Growth rate, Transportation.
Overall I made friends for life at Deloitte but the upper management is definitely not the level of where a manager should be at. They have 0 managerial skills and their personal lives constantly keep interrupting their professional life.
Deloitte is a good place to gain experience with international exposure.Deloitte provides you experience in global audit methodology and exposure to seeking job advantage around the world.
Great place to work if you learn to network with partners, sometimes you will have meaningul work, but most of the times, you will be victim of Manager, and Senior Manager politics
Lots of cool projects with steep learning curve
Egotisitical Managers and Senior Managers
There is flexibility in terms of checking-in. Most of the workday is spent on client meetings and actual work is done afterhours. Having the opportunity to work on complex projects would be the most enjoyable part of the job.
Management is not approachable. Only a few managers are great. Only people who butter up their managers gain promotions here. Hard work is not the way to go here. Only need to focus on your relations with your manager.Work is redundant. There is no focus on learning
I worked at Deloitte for 5 years in the tax group. Overall a great company, but need to perform and have strong relationships. It can be fairly political and requires you to work many weekends and late nights.
you should be an extrovert and good at networking and talking and know people and their intentions to work with them. politics are also involved. Didnt had a good feel
Long hours, no overtime, and bonuses - went to one person. Two men refused to let me pass by their "cubes" - making me walk around the partner hall to get to the secretary or through the staff cube area. After about 6 months I got tire of it - and tried to keep walking. I got shoved to the ground - wearing a suit and heels. One of those individuals is the current Tax Partner in charge. He did nothing to help me nor did he report the incident.
Diverse clients and staff are fun
sleeping on the floor, working all night, bad coffee, not allowed personal items/pictures in our work area
