Too much work for what it's paid!
Assistant Visual Merchandiser (Ehemaliger Mitarbeiter) – München – 31. März 2017
I got employed as Assistant Visual Merchandiser, but I was placed in a Shop (medium size) where there was no other Visual Merchandiser but me (this aspect was not mentioned during my recruiting process) so I was practically doing all the Visual Merchandiser work and got paid much less than a real Visual Merchandiser. The work load was most of the time overwhelming, specially during Sales and any other store changes. The management was always NOT happy, but on the other hand they did not want to hire more people to help. They expect too much from just one person! Every month the area managers were coming to visit and of course it was stress for us because the store must look perfect and we were obligated to work extra hours (which are NOT PAID by the way). They give u free days in exchange. During days when u don't meet the shop's target they call right away and ask what's going on and ask u to push harder (as if u don't allready). This aspect I can understand.. managers are supposed to do this.. BUT what bothered me was the fact that when the target was met and also exceeded, they were not saying nothig, not even a simple "good job". This way u feel that your work is not appreciated! I would NEVER recommend Mango to nobody! Only if u want a job with maximum stresslevel!
