Our mission is to deliver our customers with great value, which we define as a combination of brand, fashion, price, and quality. VALUE & OFF-PRICE: EXCITING MERCHANDISE, AMAZING PRICES, EVERY DAY. As the leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. and worldwide, TJX delivers great value on ever-changing selections of high quality, fashionable, brand name and designer merchandise at prices generally 20%-60% below full-price retailers’ (including department, specialty, and major online retailers) regular prices, on comparable merchandise, every day. Unlike more traditional retailers, our retail chains generally don’t engage in promotional pricing activity like sales, coupons, or other gimmicks – just exciting merchandise at amazing prices, every single day! EXCITEMENT & DISCOVERY: IT’S WHY WE HAVE SO MANY LOYAL CUSTOMERS. Unlike other types of retailers that buy seasonally, we have new high quality, brand name, and designer merchandise arriving in our stores several times a week, with each delivery containing thousands of items. And our e-commerce sites – tjmaxx.com, sierra.com, and tkmaxx.com – add new merchandise almost daily. We tell our customers, “If you love it, grab it!” We don’t hold replenishment stock in our back rooms and often, the store managers don’t even know what’s coming until we throw open the delivery truck doors. That’s what makes us so exciting to shop. OUR LOVE FOR OFF-PRICE IS GLOBAL: Just like our buyers. Our buyers are on the hunt throughout the year for the hottest brand name and designer merchandise for the entire family and home — from trendy tops and handbags, to bold ties and footwear, to gourmet cookware and furniture, to hiking gear and active wear. They are opportunistic and entrepreneurial. When a designer or manufacturer overproduces or other stores overbuy, they swoop in, negotiate the lowest possible price, and pass the savings on.
