Typical day at work:
2nd - 3rd level JBoss/Apache application support.
Deployment, Maintenance and troubleshooting of services and applications.
Take part on new projects - launching of new services.
Working in a complex infrastructure, in particular acquiring skills on Billing and Charging platform.
Deployment of applications in several servers, Oracle schemas DB migration by minimizing down time of services.
Managing LDAP servers
Use of new monitoring/probing tools like Splunk, Nagios
People from different countries with different backgrounds, languages, etc.
Hardest part of the job:
Dealing with procedures that affects big companies.
The most enjoyable part of the job:
Being in a multi ethnic environment and dealing with friendly colleagues.
Troubleshooting and solving problems through a big variety of tools and technologies - i.e.: checking on JBoss/Apache instances, Oracle DB, AAA servers, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Monitoring and probing tools.
