To further our strategic business growth, we are looking for a passionate Civil Projects Engineer.

The new colleague will be working within the Civil Project Management streamline, taking care of the project’s budget, planning, and technical challenges for the project civil component. The role encloses also nurturing and coordinating the relationships with the client’s team and subcontractors.

How the ideal candidate would be?

• Proven experience in civil industrial projects.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
• Knowledge of the food industry, manufacturing and packaging processes, Layout, Tech-Specs
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent command of the German and English language
• Familiarity with construction/ project management software
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• A team player with leadership abilities
• BSc/BA in civil engineering, building science or relevant field
• Mobility for business travelling and site presence in Germany

What are the responsibilities?

• Oversee and manage all on-site civil engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate civil designs with overall project goals.
• Supervise and direct construction teams, subcontractors, and laborers in executing civil works, including earthworks, foundations, structural installations, and utilities.
• Conduct site surveys, measurements, and layout work to ensure accurate placement and alignment of structures and systems.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on schedule.
• Ensure quality control of materials and workmanship through regular inspections and testing.
• Prepare and maintain detailed daily site reports, logs, and records of activities, materials used, and work performed.
• Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment allocation, and workforce planning.
• Liaise with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and environmental agencies to ensure compliance with all legal and environmental requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets, schedules, and resource plans, providing input based on on-site observations.
• Address and resolve any technical issues that arise during construction, providing guidance and solutions to ensure project continuity.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and promoting a culture of safety on-site.
