What A Jerk – Kitchen / Front Counter Crew

We’re opening What A Jerk, a small Jamaican food joint focused on real flavor, fast service, and good energy. We’ll be serving jerk chicken, patties, fried chicken, and Caribbean comfort food done properly.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable people who understand Caribbean or African food culture or have interest in it and want to be part of building something from the ground up.

What you'll do:

• Prepare and handle food according to company standards
• Operate and manage grills and smokers during service
• Operate commercial deep fryers to produce high-quality fried chicken and other fried items
• Monitor cooking temperatures, food quality, and food safety standards
• Take customer orders and assist at the front counter when needed
• Maintain strict food hygiene and food safety standards
• Keep kitchen equipment, workstations, grills, smokers, and fryers clean and organized
• Work efficiently during busy service periods
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused work environment

Requirements:

Fluency in English, basic German

* Minimum 2 years kitchen experience REQUIRED

* Fast learner
* Must understand basic food hygiene and safe food handling
* Comfortable working with raw chicken
* Good customer service skills
* Team player mentality
* Reliable, disciplined, and punctual
* No drama, no excuses, no BS

Big plus if you:

* Have experience with Caribbean or African food
* Know your way around a fast-paced kitchen
* Bring positive energy and hustle
