Are you a Technical Support Engineer looking for a new challenge?

We are looking for Technical Support Engineers to join the Technical Support team at Hyve Managed Hosting. You will be focused on delivering and supporting a variety of projects, from websites to multi-regional platforms for high-profile clients, as well as implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructures worldwide.

Your tasks:

  • Search and find solutions for software and hardware issues for both our customer platforms and our own cloud platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues (SANs, switches, network routers, blade servers, websites and databases, networks, operating systems, etc.)
  • Discussions with customers, either by phone or through our in-house built ticketing system within established SLAs.
  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback on customer questions and issues by referencing our internal database or external resources to provide accurate technical resolutions.
  • Prioritise and manage multiple support tickets concurrently and follow up with customers to ensure their systems are fully functional after troubleshooting
  • Assist the sales team with the architectural design of potential new customer platforms
  • Build and deploy new client-server and complex platforms as needed
  • Deploy, operate and manage virtual network devices such as load balancers, firewalls, IPS, WAFs, etc.
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams as appropriate

You bring to the table:

  • Track record of resolving a variety of technical issues for many different types of customers
  • Confident in locating and resolving software and hardware issues
  • A confident demeanor and the ability to learn quickly, show initiative and be motivated to get the job done effectively
  • A consultative, positive and solution-oriented mentality with a proactive and energetic attitude
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Excellent command of German (B2 Level or above) and good knowledge of English, both verbally and in writing
  • At least one year of experience with Linux operating system
  • At least one year of experience with network infrastructure
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of the hosting landscape (cloud, dedicated, colocation, etc.)

Advantageous would be:

  • Knowledge in: Windows Server, Linux Server, IIS/Apache, MySQL/MS SQL, VMware vSphere, VMware ESXi, Loadbalancer, Active Directory, Exchange, Cisco / Juniper, HP 3PAR / EVA Storage Arrays, TCP/IP, DNS.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to answer questions efficiently, effectively and courteously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Social and outgoing and easily able to build relationships
